Paint a greener picture

Why should I choose natural paints?

Conventional paints contain up to 50% solvents and volatile organic compunds (VOCs) which are released into the air for years after you applied them. VOCs can cause irritation to eyes, nose and throat, affect the nervous system and damage internal organs. Natural paints are non-toxic so don't release hazardous fumes which makes them particularly suitable for  children, and people suffering from allergies or ill health who are unable to tolerate chemical paints. If you've ever used standard paints you may have experienced headaches from the paint fumes.

Natural paints are also good for your home too. As they are micro-porous they allow walls and surfaces to breathe, preventing or reducing condensation and damp problems, therefore reducing associated indoor allergens. They are also less prone to paint flaking, peeling and blistering.

They are environmentally-friendly as most use renewable resources that are biodegradable and in most instances can even be composted.
